Environment & Security

Meteoceanics Environment & Security conducts scientific research and provides services in dynamical system analytics, modelling, dynamic risk and predictability assessment for decision support to sensitive environmental and security operations, particularly in aerospace, naval, undersea, agriculture, forestry, water resources, financial, public health and civil protection contexts. Moreover, it is deeply committed to the development of methods and scientific products for the analysis, physical-chemical modelling and decision support in risk assessment of extreme events and natural resource management.

We also conduct full-fledged multiscale Earth system dynamic and socio-environmental impact modelling and prediction, along with associated decision support frameworks and products towards adaptation and mitigation e.g. in the face of multiple hazards ranging from climatic to public health. Our action is also patent on the field, where we also develop and implement innovative solutions for strengthening socio-ecological resilience and providing preventive and restorative solutions to vulnerable and affected environments.

The strength of our services is grounded on hard science underlying rigorous complex system science, data analytics and model design, both at methodological levels and articulated with interdisciplinary expertise across frontier natural, social and technical sciences. That enables us to provide concrete multi-domain multiscale dynamic system-of-system solutions vastly ahead of the state of the art from typical environmental centres.

Our activities are further complemented by developments in nonlinear signal processing and artificial intelligence including advanced nonlinear dynamic encryption for secure communications in sensitive contexts ranging from finance to transportation, from civil protection to environmental security. Our proprietary non-ergodic coevolutionary and synergistic dynamic algorithms in information physics enable secure data encoding, transmission and processing beyond the state of the art in the public literature, providing a level of security and competitiveness unattainable by standard information frameworks. We have special deals to help those women and men in uniform that work tirelessly to protect our lives, ranging from health care professionals to the military.

The aforementioned activities are further supported by our instrumentation ecosystem deployed in oceanic, land, aerospace, and outer space, with both passive and active operational capabilities in order to monitor, assess and deploy solutions assisting the authorities in critical services to protect our society and environment.

For example, our fire ecosystem entails unmanned aerospace monitoring, airlift and ground robotic vehicles for early assessment and first response especially in terrains inaccessible by conventional vehicles and personnel, in an articulated manner wherein the aerospace and ground operations follow seamless adaptive workflows to resolve the incidents.

Another example entails the use of undersea infrastructure including telecommunications cables operated by our partners, oceanographic probes, undersea vehicles, and other solutions at our disposal as anchors from which to derive crucial information ranging from seabed perturbations to internal waves in the ocean to surface processes, discerning a wide range of multiscale natural and anthropogenic disturbances, and providing an added level of security for all those operating in such challenging theatre of operation.

An yet another entails our recently deployed satellite constellation with cutting-edge quantum technologies for earth system sensing. (More details here).
